WITCH BALL FOLKLORE

Witch Balls have been very popular since the 18th century. Hanging these decorative glass balls in the window or on the porch is thought to tantalize mischievous spirits which may be threatening a home's tranquility. The wayward spirit is mesmerized by the ball's reflective beauty. When the spirit touches the sphere it is absorbed and trapped in the web-like strands of the glass inside the ball. Let the magic of our glass artists protect your home.

On the other hand, these are cool gifts for those that don't believe in spirits as well! These are the coolest glass globes with unbelievable colors! A wild gift for the person that has everything, for a teenager or college kid too! Even adults that like the oddities in life will love one of our glass globes. Each ball is hand blown and unique - like friends, no two are alike! While all are spheres, some are round while others are oblong and not a perfect sphere. Some colors are more vibrant than others, depending on the artist and how large the glass was blown - the larger the glass sphere, the more subtle the color.

Hang a witch ball in a window, on a porch, use as a gazing ball outdoors or float in a water pond! No matter the use, the colored glass sphere coupled with individual unique shapes, colors and inner glass webs will mesmerize any one that looks upon it!

DISCLAIMER ON ALL HANDBLOWN GLASS ITEMS:
These glass art balls begin as clear recycled glass. As the ball of molten hot glass is formed, the ball is rolled into color glass granules to provide the design. These granules are added to color 30 to 40% of surface of the finished ball, allowing sunlight to brighten the sphere, and the strands inside the ball to be visible. Each witch ball is handcrafted & unique. No two are exact. The regular size is about that of a grapefruit, approximately 5 to 5 1/2" diameter.
Each sphere has a blown glass nodule to use for hanging. Each is unique - due to the nature of the blown glass art, some are not perfectly round, some are larger than others, etc. Free blown witch balls can be irregular in size, shape, texture and are consistent with the artist’s vision - Each is unique with color, strands, bubbles, and size. NO TWO ARE ALIKE
